Chase Willett graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering in 1987. He spent thirteen years with Eastman Chemical Company with assignments in plastics sales, polyester market and product management, and polyester raw material procurement as well as a three-year assignment in Singapore managing Eastman’s Asian PET business.
In September of 2000, Chase joined CMAI as Director of Polyesters and Polyester Raw Materials. CMAI started in Houston in 1979 with two principals and now employs over 100 people with offices in Houston, New York, London, Düsseldorf, Dubai, Singapore and Shanghai. CMAI consultancies cover aromatics, olefins, chlor-alkali/vinyls, methanol, fibers and plastics with both single and multi-client services.
Chase covers para-, ortho-, and meta-xylene, PTA, DMT, PIA, and PET for CMAI. He co-authors the Aromatics Market Report, The Global Plastics and Polymers Report, the Global Fibers and Feedstocks Report and the PET Stream Report.
Chase and his wife Meg have been married for 22 years and reside in Houston with their ten-year old daughter Sydney and their eight-year old daughter Lauren..
